Farnhill were the narrow winners (on penalties) of our 2008 5-a-side competition.

They were led by Danny Saines who celebrated a double as his Saturday side, Second Team were his opponents in the final, so mixed emotions for Danny. Well done to Danny and his teams.

Well done also to George Kleanthous who walked away with top scorer for the tournament with 6 goals. Considering there were over 100 players on display including ones that have played at Kent League level, this is an impressive tally in 7 games and even more impressive as George is 40 years old - well done to him.

Player of the tournament was contested between a number of players including 3 goalkeepers all of which were outstanding and all of which never lost a game in normal time. The nod went to Darren Mace who never actually conceded a goal for the seven games he played only exiting the tournament after his own penalty miss and like the true professional he is - blamed the pitch markings!
