Where shall I start?

Availability and too many players on the booze the night before basically cost us the game. Both of these factors led to a change in formation (4-3-3) which quite clearly doesn''t suit our passing game, which I will take the blame for and it gave the moaners in our side some excuses for playing below par. To win football matches you must have the right attitude and want to run, tackle, head, pass etc. Another moan was our lack of togetherness, when one of our players gets involved after being kicked, I at least expect to see a few people backing him up.

Anyway the game went something like this, we kicked off and basically gave Prince of Wales a 4 goal head start in the first 25 minutes, all of these goals were down to the basics of lack of communication and simple passing which we struggled to do. All 4 of these goals were exactly the same, players being caught in possession in dangerous areas. At half way through the first half we changed back to 4-4-2 and gradually got better and created a couple of good chances. At 4 nil down at half time we weren''t totally out of it, despite everyone looking totally miserable.

In the second half our shape was much better and we took the game to PoW and despite conceding a 5th goal early on created bundles of chances and scored 4 goals (Nana 2, Adam Dawson, Ray Perkins). On another day we might have got a result but you can''t concede goals like we did and expect to win.

The main positive we can take out of the game is that we kept going despite the terrible start. There were a few good performances. This weekend we have Centresports and it would be nice to turn in a good performance as I know we can play much better.

On another subject, we have booked a table for Christmas dinner in the Woody on the 18th December before heading to Bromley to watch Chelski/Arsenal. Please confirm whether you will be in attendance.
